Individual Profile
After graduating from Master of Social Sciences in Clinical Psychology, Ms. Ng worked in hospitals under Hospital Authority for almost ten years, providing psychological assessment and treatment to clients with varied background, conditions, and needs. The clients may suffer from adjustment disorder, depression, anxiety disorders, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia, transdiagnostic eating disorders, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Attention-Deficit-Hyperactivity-Disorders, etc. In recent years, Ms. Ng has been working in an NGO serving children and adolescents in Small Group Homes and foster families, and counselled clients with cancer and their carers. Ms. Ng utilized treatment approaches included Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy in her treatment. She is also a Registered Circle of Security Parent Facilitator and is sensitive to attachment issues.
Ms. Ng worked as a Speech Therapist before Clinical Psychologist for nearly ten years, mainly serving preschool and school-aged children. Her experience and expertise in the field supported her to view clients from a holistic perspective and provide effective counseling when she works with children and their carers in the current practice.
Ms. Ng believes every person has his/her strength and resilience. There could be challenges in his/her life, and that is the time when he/she needs understanding and support, which Ms. Ng hopes to be the one to accompany them to go over the hurdles and walk towards their desirable future.
