Individual Profile

Dr. Michelle Mok is a Clinical Psychologist, Research Assistant Professor at HKU, and Honorary Lecturer at UCL. She offers collaborative and creative support to adults navigating a wide range of common and complex challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, work-related stress, burnout, dissociative conditions, and relationship difficulties.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Michelle’s professional and personal journey has taken her to have lived, studied, and worked in Seoul, Singapore, Berlin, Edinburgh, and London. Michelle deeply understands the complexities of cultural adaptation, life transitions, and identity. She brings this global perspective into her practice and is able to connect with clients in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and conversational Korean. Michelle completed her doctorate in clinical psychology at University College London (UCL), achieving the rare distinction of passing her doctoral viva with no corrections, and gained extensive clinical experience within the UK National Health Service (NHS). Upon returning home to Hong Kong, she served within the Hospital Authority, specialising in delivering individual and organisational interventions to support the well-being of frontline healthcare staff.

In private practice, Michelle strives to help you make sense of what is happening beneath the surface. You might feel weighed down by burnout, stuck in unhelpful relationship patterns, or struggling to find your footing after a major life shift. Her sessions offer a compassionate, safe space to understand the underlying drivers of your challenges, empowering you to overcome obstacles, enhance your well-being, and realise your full potential.

Michelle integrates a diverse range of evidence-based psychological approaches. She works closely with you to design a highly personalised treatment plan, blending scientific expertise with a deeply humanistic and creative approach tailored to your specific goals and values.
